WIAW # 33

Happy October, my favourite month of the year.

It is that time of the week again
Spooky Snacks and Healthy Halloween Treats

I am going to have to keep it a little short today unfortunately so as usual here is my fav meals from last week

I am keep breakfasts the same with tasty oats with banana and a little cheeky bit of almond butter.

Lunches have defo turned Autumnal and soup is being made.  I am on the hunt for some new recipes.  This one is red lentil and butternut squah.  It is one of my favourites.

Dinner was a lovely vegetable lasagne

I feel like I am in a meal rut if I am honest and going to try and mix things up.  I don’t really eat meat but think I might give some a whirl.  I don’t eat it as I am not keen on the flavour but might give it a little try.

I did make some Banana and sultana bread cupcakes that were ok.  I was going to share the recipe but I was not that pleased with them.  I am going to keep experimenting with the gluten free flours and sure I will get better.

Has anyone got a fav meat recipe they would recommend?

  1. Do you have a crockpot? We like to put either pork loin in or chicken breasts or even beef and let it sit for a few hours in BBQ sauce or taco seasoning (BBQ for chicken or pork) and then you have delicious pulled pork/chicken for tacos or sandwiches! We like to do strip steak or flank steak over rice bowl too.

    1. Thank you for you ideas. i have a crockpot and like the sound of the pulled pork. As i have no idea what size peice of pork would you recommend? Also do you just buy a bottle of BBQ sauce and pour it in? Sorry if this is simple question but never cooked it before. :)

  2. Bummer about the recipe not being up to your standards, but I'm sure you'll figure it out & have it completely perfected for all of us in no time. Can't wait :)
