WIAW # 11

I can not believe it is that time of week again and here is one of my eats from last week.
Peas and Crayons
To be honest I have not felt the best and have been repeating my meals far too much.

Breakfast oats, blueberries and almond milk

Mid morning I am enjoying a banana and yoghurt

Lunch has been a funny affair this week as my weekly shop go all mixed up.  I ended up having a lovely chickpea salad in a jar.  It was yummy.

For dinner we had some Pasta, roast veg and pesto

I have made a plan for this week and hope that my meals are better. I have also planned snacks and have not been too bad.  I am having banana and yoghurt before my lunch time run and on an afternoon I am having veg snacks with hummus.   I also had a naughty piece of cake.

Tastes much better then it looks!!
I didn't do my usual post at the beginning of the week as I am just not having the best week and have not been feeling too great.  I have kept to all my aims so far this week and have been really enjoying my lunch time runs.  I also loved spinning again last Wednesday night and will be going again tonight.  I really wanted to go cycling at the weekend but I just didn't feel up to it.  I woke up with a sore throat and blocked ears.  I just don’t feel right but am currently downing lots of vitamin C!!!

I am loving watching the Olympics.   I am not sure what other nations made of the opening ceremony but everyone I know loved it.  I loved the energy and idea.  I really like the way they lit the flame.

We have watched some of the Olympics and disappointed with the mens road race.  The womens roads race was much more exciting and I really enjoyed watching it.  I was so pleased for Lizzie Armitstead who won silver.  I can not wait for the time trails today and see how they all get on.  I am really gutted that Paula Radcliffe has pulled out with an injured foot.

I really think the coverage has been great and a real inspiration for young people.

  2. I also love the salad jar idea! I prefer glass over plastic too, especially in the summer months. Cheers from WIAW! http://www.alimentblog.blogspot.com
