Week 11

The weeks keep on flying and it is only 9 weeks on Sunday till the triathlon and nervous, doubt and excitement are creeping in.  I have struggled this week to fit everything in.

Sunday – Sunderland 10K

Done in 1:05:32 and the recap is here.

Monday – Rest

Pool was closed anyway and we had a lovely day looking at the Tour De France route at Reeth

Tuesday – Bike and Run

I woke up early and went on my exercise bike for 40 mins.  It was a little hard as my legs were tight but not too bad.  I also went for a run at lunch time for 3 miles and I felt good, strong even.  I was so please.

Wednesday –Clun run

I ran 5.5 miles and it was hell I have done a review here.  The views were lovely but my leg was hurting too much.  I felt like a 90 year old women!  When we finished I thought my legs might drop off, they were so tired and even hurt when I lay in bed.

Thursday – Swim

I am so annoyed as I set the alarm nice and early to get up for the bus to the swimming pool.  My legs were feeling so much better and hoped that a swim would loosen them up for me.  I stood on the bus stop for ages and  when I checked the time table the bus time tables changed.  I was so mad and it meant I wouldn’t get there in time for a swim so I had to go to work and have shower there and was at my desk crazy early.

Friday – Run and cycle

Lunch time 3.5 mile run and 60 min exercise bike session.  I must sort my bike out as it is actually freaking me out that I have not been on it yet.  I even started dreaming about it!

This weekend I am hoping to swim on Saturday as I not managed to fit it in all week and Sunday a longer run but if the weather is kind to me I might go out on my bike.  I am also planning next week to attempt my first brick session and I am scared!

I bought a new book and to say it scares me is an understatement.

It is very intimidating and scary.  I will let you know how I get on.  I am still reading Can’t Swim, Bike and run and I am utterly enjoying it.  I must have laughed out at least 10 times already and it makes me feel a little more confident that I will survive!!

What are your weekend plans?

Are you training for anything and if you are how is your training plans going?

  1. I was on the swim team back in high school and unfortunately, that was the last time I actually swam. I know swimming is such a great workout and I need to get back to it. Looks like you had quite a productive week! Have a great weekend!
